This work which is in one movement, is described from the perspective of the great exploit of the city of Madrid on the historical date of 2nd May 1808. It reflects the description of music and the religious with the appearance of majestic winds while the brass instruments represent the sound of the battle. This programme is based on the text by the poet Luis López Anglada which describes the action which inmortalized that historical moment.

Cursa estudios de Piano, Composición y Dirección de Orquesta en los Conservatorios de Valencia, Madrid, París, Roma y Academia Chigiano de Siena (Italia).
Como Director invitado dirige Orquestas, Coros y Bandas, tanto nacionales como extranjeras, e igualmente, imparte conferencias y escribe artículos en diversas revistas principalmente europeas y americanas.
Compone música para el cine y realiza estudios de investigación efectuando diversas grabaciones. Es en la actualidad director de la Banda Sinfónica de Infantería de Marina en Madrid y académico correspondiente de la Real de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
