Composed in three times. • Reign of Osiris • Lament of Isis • Loss of Seth It is likely the most ancient Egyptian myth, attempts to explain the course of the day to night. The brothers Osiris and Seth are two gods in perpetual conflict. Osiris, radiant and luminous queen for the day, is the god of the sun and heat. Isis is married and has a son named Horus. Seth is the god of darkness and rule the night. At noon Osiris shines with all its splendor, but in the evening loses strength and his brother Seth beats field. At night, Isis weeping uncontrollably the loss of her husband and her tears flood the sky with stars. Horus, son of Osiris, decides to avenge his father and fight against his uncle Seth, the fight lasts all night. Eventually, Horus won the battle and reign in the dawn with a dimmer sun. Then he gave the throne to his father Osiris.
