The clarinet is the only family of timber acoustically behaves differently to the rest of its peers, which is its particular excellence that makes the instrument more interesting from the standpoint of sound. The design of the ideal clarinet becomes a daunting and complex undertaking due to deviations that occur from the ideal geometric model of a closed tube operation, the phenomenon of the correction of open end and use a single port of registration. Thus, cooperation between the resonant frequencies, the base of a musical tone, is contaminated by these and other factors of various kinds, all of which greatly complicates the characterization and modeling of acoustically perfect instrument. On the other hand, the clarinet, like all musical instruments, is an intuitive paradigm of evolution rather than a finding perfected by science. Any improvement in the mechanism is bring about changes in technique and sound of the instrument and, therefore, in the compositions and performance practice, although in some cases the evolution of the clarinet has been determined by the demands of the interpreters of an increasingly more sophisticated. The author makes a thorough study and analysis of every aspect related to acoustics and organology the clarinet, with a clear informative, but also practical. The book's main objective is to bring the musician to knowledge and understanding of acoustics and organology the clarinet.
